Privacy Policy
1. About RSG
RSG ("Rise. Shine. Grind.") is an independent ministry planning and tracking web application designed to help users organize ministry activity, plans, goals, notes, interested persons, return visits, partners, and related information.
RSG is independently developed. It is not an official application of Jehovah's Witnesses and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society or JW.ORG.
2. Google account information RSG accesses
When a user authorizes RSG, the application may request access to the following Google services or account information:
- The user's primary Google Account email address.
- Google Sheets, so RSG can create, read, update, and manage the spreadsheet data used by that user's RSG account.
- Google Calendar, so RSG can create, read, update, and synchronize RSG ministry planning and logged-ministry calendar events.
- Permission to send email when an RSG feature initiated by the user requires email, such as sending feedback.
- Permission for RSG to continue approved application operations when the user is not actively present.
- Permission to connect to external services when required for RSG functionality, such as Google Places address suggestions.
3. How RSG uses Google user data
Google user data is used only to provide and maintain RSG features. Examples include:
- Identifying the signed-in RSG user.
- Keeping each user's ministry information separate from other users.
- Saving and retrieving ministry plans, logged activity, goals, partners, notes, statistics, interested persons, and return visits.
- Creating and synchronizing RSG ministry events with the user's Google Calendar.
- Providing address suggestions when a user enters an address for an interested person or return visit.
- Sending feedback or support information when the user intentionally uses an RSG feature that sends email.
4. Where RSG data is stored
RSG is designed so that a user's ministry information is primarily stored using Google services associated with that user's own Google account.
This can include RSG-created Google Sheets data, Google Calendar events, and limited application configuration required to associate the user with their RSG data and settings.
RSG does not intentionally combine one user's private ministry records with another user's private ministry records.
5. Interested persons and return visits
Users may choose to enter information about interested persons or return visits, including information such as names, addresses, notes, dates, or other ministry-related details.
Users are responsible for deciding what information is appropriate to enter and retain in RSG and for using that information responsibly.
6. Address suggestions and Google Places
RSG may use Google Places services to provide address autocomplete and formatted address information.
Address text entered for this purpose may be sent to Google in order to return relevant address suggestions. RSG uses this information only to provide the address-selection feature.
7. Donations and payment information
RSG may provide optional links that allow users to financially support the continued development of RSG.
Payments are processed on Stripe-hosted payment pages. RSG does not collect or store credit card numbers or other payment-card details. Information entered on Stripe's payment pages is handled according to Stripe's own terms and privacy practices.
8. Sharing of information
RSG does not sell, rent, or trade Google user data.
Information may be processed by services that are necessary to provide RSG functionality, including Google services such as Google Sheets, Google Calendar, Google Places, and other Google APIs authorized by the user.
If a user voluntarily chooses to make a contribution through a Stripe-hosted payment page, information submitted on that payment page is processed by Stripe.
9. Google API data
RSG's use of information received from Google APIs is limited to providing and improving user-facing RSG functionality.
RSG's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will follow the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
10. Data control and deletion
Because much of a user's RSG information is stored in that user's own Google account, users can manage or delete RSG-created Google Sheets and Google Calendar data through their Google account.
Users can also revoke RSG's access to their Google Account through their Google Account security and connected-app settings.
For assistance regarding RSG-related data or deletion questions, contact supportrsg@gmail.com.
11. Security
RSG is designed to limit access to user information to what is needed for application functionality and to keep individual users' RSG data separate.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but reasonable measures are used to reduce unauthorized access and unnecessary exposure of user information.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as RSG develops or its features change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
